Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) confronts yet another vehicle recall, this time involving 13,451 units of its 2020 Escape model due to potential brake performance degradation. The issue stems from rear brake linings with suboptimal friction coefficients, necessitating free front brake pad replacements at dealerships.

The defect—linked to missing vacuum sensors in certain brake boosters—could prolong stopping distances, elevating crash risks. This marks Ford's second recall this week, following yesterday's Mustang seatbelt pretensioner announcement. Shares slid modestly in Wednesday trading as investors brace for upcoming earnings.
